CARING FOR YOUR MOSA ROSE BAG

Please note, as leather is a natural material, imperfections and changes in color and texture are normal and inherent to the hides. We at Mosa Rose appreciate the natural beauty and have focused on keeping the leather as close to its natural and authentic state as possible.

LEATHER

To best care for your leather bag, please keep it away from direct sunlight and from getting wet. If it gets dirty, blot excess with a white, dry, cotton cloth and allow to air dry away from direct heat. To preserve the leather, we recommend using a leather cleaner that has a pH of 4-6 once a year, dampening a white cotton rag with approved leather cleaner. We highly recommend cleaning products from www.leatherinstitute.com. Never apply the cleaner directly to the leather bag, always apply to the leather on the cotton rag. Using moderate pressure, rub the leather in a circular motion to remove all substances from the leather. Allow no less than five minutes to air dry before continuing. To preserve the quality of your bag, please store it in the dust bag in a cool place when not in use. Because of the natural material, scratches and markings from wearing your bag may occur, so avoid rough or abrasive contact. Most scratches can be buffed out using hand-heat and pressure from your thumb or palm. Over time the leather will soften, patina, and be enhanced with use.

NUBUCK

Nubuck is an aniline-dyed leather that has been sanded on the surface to develop a short nap. Since the fiber structure is exposed, the leather is porous and will absorb liquids spilled on the surface. With no added protection to this leather, soiling, scratching and damage can occur. Please keep away from direct sunlight and from getting wet. Blot spills immediately with a soft, white absorbent cloth. Stains may be buffed with an ultra-fine abrasive pad (e.g. 3M® White) using just enough pressure to remove the stain. A soft bristle brush will help restore nubuck nap. To preserve the quality of your bag, please store it in the dust bag in a cool place when not in use. Because of the natural material, scratches and markings from wearing your bag may occur, so avoid rough or abrasive contact.

HAIR ON HIDE

Do not use leather conditioner or protector on the hair on hide. For stain removal, immediately remove any excess liquids or solids with a soft clean cloth or sponge. If needed, use a soft, clean bristle brush gently in the direction of the hair to remove any debris. If you need to spot clean, first wipe with a humid soft cloth always in the direction of the hair. Never brush the hair back and forth. Then use a clean sponge dampened with cold water only to wipe away any dirt. To preserve the quality of your bag, please store it in the dust bag in a cool place when not in use. Because of the natural material, scratches and markings from wearing your bag may occur. Please avoid rough or abrasive contact as some of the hair might wear off over time. Please note, dark clothing may rub off on light colored leathers, and dark leathers may transfer color to light clothing.
